Mountain Ministry, Heritage, & Arts

Mountain Ministry is a visual and performing arts-based ministry for Christ. This ministry program will help to provide music and movement-type activities, such as dance and theater, plays and productions, and various other performing arts activities for children and adults in a Christian environment. Mountain Ministry will also help to provide activities and faith-based learning opportunities for children within the MLP and Rabun Kids Club programs. Mountain Ministry will also focus on community outreach, fostering positive and inclusive relationships between other faith-based ministries within the area, as well as secular programs that benefit children and families.

● Ignite Faith

○ The Youth and Young Adult Fellowship Program within Mountain Ministry will act as a unifying opportunity for Rabun and the surrounding area youth ministry programs. Hosting events that focus on sharing God-given talents as well as testimonies and movement-based activities, Ignite Faith’s mission is to help include those children and young adults interested in or involved in performing and visual arts, and who may not have the opportunity to have fellowship in a Christian environment. Through such events as musical concerts, Christian drama opportunities, music lessons, vocal and singing programs, dance classes, conferences, and various other activities, Mountain Ministry’s Ignite Faith program will focus on spreading the love of Jesus Christ through opportunities that center around music, singing, dance, theater, and other visual and performance-based activities, including, but not limited to, prophetic/worship dance, shape-note singing, historical clogging and buck dancing, art exploration, and more.

● Little Lights Children’s Ministry

○ Provides ministry opportunities and Bible lessons to Rabun Kids Club, as well as partnering with the BRAT Center Summer Camp Program, Ignite Faith, and outside community programs.
